The need for debates on the importance of public procurement with social and environmental impact has increased with the advancement of global climate and social challenges that we are all facing now. That is why we are taking the final steps towards fulfilling the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and pointing out the urgent need for strategic actions to achieve environmental sustainability and reduce social inequalities to be implemented in the community.
Therefore, the Ateliere Fără Frontiere Association organizes on May 12, from 8:30 to 11:30, a round table on “Sustainable acquisitions in the Romanian business environment. Challenges, solutions and good practices ”, in a friendly setting at Ernst & Young, Bd. Ion Mihalache 15-17.
At the event will attend László Borbély, State Councilor, Department of Sustainable Development, along with procurement experts, as well as CSR and sustainable development representatives. They will discuss both the impact that corporate procurement has on the social and environmental sector, and how procurement can become central to a more energy-efficient, resource-efficient, circular economy and more inclusive of the employability of people with disabilities and vulnerable people.
