Romanian Copyright Office was established by Law 8/1996, art. 137, and operates in the field of Intellectual Property in the field of copyright and neighboring rights, a specialized body of the central public administration subordinated to the Government, with legal personality, being a unique regulatory authority, evidence through national registers, supervision, authorization, arbitration and technical-scientific findings in the field of copyright and related rights.
