About Carrefour:

In Romania, the Carrefour Group offers its customers multiple shopping possibilities, both in its 322 stores in the country, and through the unique portal Moreover, using the BRINGO platform, freely available in Google Play and App Store, Carrefour offers its customers in Iași, Cluj, Constanța and Bucharest the possibility to shop more than 50,000 products at hypermarket prices, delivered in 90 minutes. Also, using Gurmandio, customers in Iași, Suceava, Botoșani, Piatra-Neamț, Galați and Târgu Jiu may order a wide range of products, both from the gastronomy section in Carrefour, and from local restaurants, with free delivery and multiple payment methods (cash, card, meal vouchers).

Carrefour has developed innovative payment means for its customers, such as the „Carrefour Pay” application, where they may verify prices in-store or may pay for their shopping directly from the application, at the cash desks. Continuing the series of innovations, last year, Carrefour launched in its Carrefour Baneasa hypermarket the integrated service „Your checkout desk - Self Service” the first checkout desk where customers may scan and pay their shopping themselves, in the same place.

Carrefour supports the communities where it operates through relevant programs, so that, in 2017, the retailer launched, for the first time in Romania, the Varasti Carrefour Agricultural Cooperative, the first of its kind established with a retailer. The project brings Romanian agricultural producers closer to Carrefour customers with quality products and offers them the opportunity to access a sustainable sales market.

In April 2018, Carrefour Romania launched the Beef Quality Source thus continuing its mission and commitment to provide its customers with quality, fresh and tasty Romanian products with an authentic taste, at competitive prices, by developing sustainable partnerships with small local producers. The Beef Quality Source joins the other three initiatives launched by Carrefour in Romania starting in 2008 for pork, carrot and potatoes, ensuring the quality control of the products offered, by permanently monitoring and checking the quality standards set with its partners, by a team of experts.
