Mușat & Asociații announces the promotion of six attorneys specializing in real estate law, intellectual property, litigation & arbitration, and criminal law.

Thus, Ioana Cojocaru-Dumitru and Alin Sinocicu were promoted to Managing Associate, Evelina Stoian and Luciana Anghel to Senior Associate, and Cristina Ciobanu and Mirela Dimu to Associate.

The six attorneys have stood out through their strong expertise in their respective practice areas, taking on complex projects and earning the appreciation of the Firm’s clients.

Ioana Cojocaru-Dumitru, promoted to the position of Managing Associate, joined the Mușat & Asociații team in 2018. Ioana has been a fully licensed attorney since 2012, gaining extensive experience in litigation and arbitration, particularly in commercial arbitration disputes, successfully representing prominent clients in complex arbitration proceedings in the construction and infrastructure sectors. Additionally, Ioana provided legal assistance in monitoring Priority Axis III projects under the POSCCE – “Increasing Economic Competitiveness,” including the review of financing contracts used at national level. 

Alin Sinocicu, promoted to Managing Associate, has over 13 years of experience in the field of white-collar crime. Alin has successfully represented domestic and international clients in connection with a variety of offenses specific to corporate criminal law. He has extensive experience representing clients before criminal prosecution authorities, courts, and the Constitutional Court of Romania. His consistent involvement in highly complex cases reinforces his reputation as a trusted attorney in handling sensitive matters in the field of criminal law.

Evelina Stoian, promoted to Senior Associate, began her career at Mușat & Asociații in 2020. Evelina has extensive legal experience in real estate law and provides legal advice to prominent local and international companies on a wide range of matters. Together with her team, Evelina advises on the development of real estate projects such as logistics parks, office, residential, and commercial buildings, the drafting of sales, lease, and concession agreements, and the implementation of projects for major retail chains. Evelina is also involved in projects focused on corporate law, banking, and finance.

Luciana Anghel, promoted to the position of Senior Associate, has over six years of professional experience and is part of the Mușat & Asociații team as an intellectual property attorney. Her practice covers a wide range of intellectual property issues, focusing on trademarks, designs, patents, copyright, and related rights. She is frequently involved in trademark opposition and cancellation/revocation proceedings, as well as in patent litigation, providing appropriate strategies for protecting intellectual property rights and identifying infringements of intellectual property rights, including in the dynamic technology sector.
 

Cristina Ciobanu and Mirela Dimu, promoted to the position of Associate, joined the Mușat & Asociații team in 2023, and are part of the 2023-2027 Initial Training Program.

Cristina provides legal assistance and representation to both domestic and international clients before Romanian courts and public authorities in various fields such as administrative, civil, and tax law and public procurement, in cases involving the annulment of administrative acts - whether individual or regulatory - the enforcement and termination of civil and administrative contracts, as well as enforcement proceedings. Cristina has advised companies operating across a wide range of sectors: agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals, civil and military construction, and telecommunications. 

Mirela provides legal assistance and representation before Romanian and European authorities on various intellectual property matters for international clients operating in the pharmaceutical, retail, construction, technology, and insurance sectors, addressing complex intellectual property, commercial, and contractual issues. In her day-to-day work, Mirela is directly involved in proceedings before the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) regarding trademark registrations, as well as in proceedings related to trademark cancellations. Mirela also provides advice on the protection and capitalization of clients’ intellectual property portfolios.
