SIXT Group Romania launches ATELIERUL UNION MOTORS
Bucharest, 14 of September 2018: In Romania, young people in schools of professions have limited options for practicing and learning a job. Within Union Motors, part of SIXT Group Romania, and one of the largest automotive workshops in the country, many professionals (mechanics, dyers, tinsmiths) work with years of experience in the field. It is the ideal place where young people from the schools of professions can practice a job. Here, they have access to state-of-the-art equipment and a professional team, the right recipe for a solid practice base. This is why, in the school year 2018 - 2019, 21 students from the schools of professions in Bucharest will be expected to join Atelierul Union Motors project. The schools were selected by a special commission made up of the representatives of the School Inspectorate of the Municipality of Bucharest.
"SIXT Group Romania has always been interested in giving back to the communities it works in, helping children in need and involving in long term programs for contributing to a sustainable child education. So, in 2017, we created #AlwaysYesToEducation, with our desire to actively contribute to the educational process of children from disadvantaged families. And with the support of 2 NGO’s we actually did it. At the end of 2017, #AlwaysYesToEducation has been developed in the children's education area for the correct assimilation and understanding of traffic rules. Employees volunteer in #AlwaysYesToEducation now teach the school children at Ora de Educatie Rutiera. And because we have seen that Romania suffers from a lack of places where young people from schools of professions can practice a profession, we offer them the chance to teach 21 students at Union Motors, one of the largest car services in Romania, from our professionals and become part of our team in the near future, " says Tal Lahav SIXT Group Romania CEO
The 21 students will be divided into 3 groups of 3 months each. Among the benefits that all enrolled students will enjoy include: company transport, daily meal, work equipment, practice book and pen, Union Motors professional / employee trainer. The two finalists of each session will have additional financial benefits, a graduate diploma and the possibility of being employed at Union Motors.
Atelierul Union Motors is a project developed by SIXT Group Romania, in partnership with EDIT and with the support of the School Inspectorate of Bucharest. The project is part of the #AlwaysYesToEducation program, initiated by SIXT Group Romania, in 2017.
