Sustainability Express

Sustainability Express is a hackathon—the first on a train in Romania—that transforms sustainability challenges into concrete, testable solutions developed in an intensive, collaborative environment. The concept combines mobility (train travel) with rapid innovation (48–72 hours), offering participants a unique setting to build projects with real-world impact.

Mission & Vision

The mission of Sustainability Express is to accelerate the development of practical, real-world sustainability solutions through interdisciplinary collaboration and rapid experimentation. The initiative focuses on turning ideas into viable prototypes, ready for testing and implementation alongside relevant organizations.

In the medium and long term, the project aims to expand at a European level, connecting communities and stakeholders across diverse ecosystems to address shared environmental and mobility challenges.
