Are YOU the Romanian Company with the Greatest Focus on Employee Wellbeing?

Bodyshape Transformation Centre is officially launching ”Top Wellbeing Employer of the Year” - the first Romanian competition focused on discovering and rewarding companies in Romania that place the highest emphasis on the well-being of their employees and the communities in which they operate.

The project’s main goal is to publicly recognize and highlight the best physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing initiatives for employees, thereby contributing to a better understanding of the field in Romania.

The motivation behind the competition is to encourage companies in Romania to actively prioritize the wellbeing of their employees, especially in the post-pandemic period, and to reward those companies that have implemented consistent initiatives in this direction.

To participate in the Top Wellbeing Employer of the Year competition, companies must operate within Romania, regardless of their industry, and meet the following eligibility criteria simultaneously:

• A registered Romanian or foreign-owned company
• Established or registered in Romania for at least 3 years
• A team of at least 10 employees
• A consistent revenue stream for the past 2 financial years (2020 and 2021)

Participation in the competition is free. Companies can submit their applications at www.bodyshapetransformation.com/top-wellbeing-employer/.

The applications will be reviewed by a jury composed of professionals from complementary fields of both business and healthy lifestyle, including Irina Alionte - founder of Bodyshape Transformation Centre, Andreea Marin - media personality and promoter of a healthy lifestyle, Marius Ghenea - serial entrepreneur & Business Angel, Larisa Iordache - Olympic, World, and European gymnastics champion, Costin Tudor - CEO and founder of Undelucram.ro, Andrea Pintican - founder of the HR School, and Dr. Cezar Amititeloaie - cardiologist and entrepreneur.

The expert jury will evaluate the applications based on the following criteria:

• The company's vision regarding employee wellbeing (up to 20 points)
• Strategy for employee wellbeing (up to 20 points)
• Wellbeing programs implemented in the last 12 months (up to 20 points)
• Positive impact within the organization, including monitoring and measurement methods (up to 20 points)
• Innovation brought to the implemented wellbeing programs (up to 20 points)

Following two rounds of evaluation, the jury members will determine the winners of the following awards:

1. Top Wellbeing Employer of the Year
2. Visionary Wellbeing Employer of the Year
3. Innovative Wellbeing Employer of the Year

The Top Wellbeing Employer of the Year competition will take place in several stages:

• May 17 - July 17, 2023 - Application submissions
• July 18 - September 18, 2023 - Interviews with representatives of the participating companies
• September 18 - October 18, 2023 - Evaluation of the applicant companies
• October 23, 2023 - Winners' award ceremony

The competition winners will benefit from multiple advantages, including:

• Local and national recognition as a company that values the health and wellbeing of its employees
• Media exposure
• Recognition as a top employer in terms of wellbeing
• Improved perception among employees and potential hires regarding the company's work environment
• Digital seal for promotional and recruitment purposes

So we want to address some very important questions to all the companies in Romania: how concerned are they about the well-being of their employees? How much do they do to ensure that they work in a comfortable environment both physically and emotionally? How concerned are employers, in 2023, about the well-being of their employees?

Therefore, Top Wellbeing Employer of the Year is a challenge thrown to companies, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate that they are modern employers who understand what it means to have a happy employee and who aim to provide an excellent working environment.

All companies need external validation through diplomas, trophies, and distinctions, especially when we talk about an independent mechanism of evaluation and awards.
