MIGSO PCUBED supports the defense industry, being present in ‘Make it in Romania’ by BSDA event

I took part in the first edition of the MAKE it in ROMANIA international conference, organized under the BSDA umbrella — a landmark event bringing together key leaders from Romania’s defense industry, government representatives, and international investors. With over 700 participants, the event highlighted both the momentum and the strategic importance of developing real industrial capabilities locally.
Across the discussions, one message stood out clearly: Romania needs a predictable legislative framework, long-term investment, and stronger collaboration between industry, government, and international partners to reinforce its defense industrial base. From local production and maintenance to technology transfer and supplier development, all stakeholders pointed in the same direction — turning today’s opportunities into tangible outcomes.
Speakers addressed the challenges openly: complex procurement procedures, outdated legislation, limited predictability, and the pressure of short deadlines. At the same time, they showcased projects and initiatives that demonstrate the real potential for growth in both state-owned and private industry.
For me, the event was an excellent opportunity to connect perspectives, better understand the strategic direction of the sector, and observe how Romania can accelerate the shift from assembly-driven projects to genuine local production and innovation.
I’m glad to have been part of this conversation, and I believe initiatives like MAKE it in ROMANIA are essential for turning Romania’s ambitions into a modern, competitive, and future-ready industrial ecosystem.
