Powering Decarbonisation: OPmobility and Helexia's Sustainable Energy Commitment
OPmobility, a global leader in sustainable and connected mobilities, and Helexia Servicii Energetice (a subsidiary of Helexia Group), proudly announce their collaboration to implement a photovoltaic (PV) plant within Pitesti industrial site in Romania. This project is a sound step in OPmobility’s CSR strategy to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable energy solutions.
Decarbonisation in the Automotive Industry
The PV installation, with a capacity of 220 kWp, will produce 250 MWh of clean energy annually. This is enough energy to power an electric Dacia Logan for approximately 50 trips around the world or a conventional Dacia Logan for nearly 11 trips, demonstrating the significant environmental benefits of the initiative.
This project at Pitesti is part of OPmobility’s broader effort to expand renewable energy use across its global sites.
By installing solar panels, the company is reducing its reliance on fossil fuels and moving closer to its sustainability targets.
"This project is a key step in our journey towards sustainable development, a key pillar of our ACT FOR ALL program and part of our strategy. It shows our long-term commitment to a greener and more responsible future." Alexandru Bocsaru
Through this implementation, OPmobility strengthens its position as a leader in mobility and especially in the powertrain integrating advanced and sustainable energy solutions. It reflects the company's philosophy of continuous innovation, contributing to a more sustainable future.
